Tilt & Turn Windows

Tilt and turn windows made from the REHAU S706 70mm and Synseal Synergy 70mm frame system are particularly suitable for large window sizes. They open into the room and are thus appropriate for ground floor applications where confined space outside could cause injury to passers-by from outward opening windows. They are also ideal for multi-storey outward opening buildings where buildings where cleaning is a problem.

Tilt and turn windows are operated by one handle, which provides two opening positions: either the window can be tilted inwards slightly with the hinges acting along the bottom or it can be opened fully with the hinges active along the side. Tilting provides draught-free ventilation, while full opening allows easy cleaning and an escape route in an emergency.

Glazing

Glazing is internal, using clip-in beads, which are removable if replacement of glass is necessary.

Maintenance

The only maintenance of REHAU and Synseal Synergy PVC-U windows required is a regular six monthly wipe with a damp cloth to maintain appearance, and lubrication of moving parts as necessary.
